MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

Design Group Australia, one of Australia’s largest merchandise suppliers of gift wrap, catalogue and private label greeting cards, Christmas crackers, stationary, and party supplies, has signed onto a new 10-year lease in Dandenong South.

Design Group Australia, one of Australia’s largest merchandise suppliers of gift wrap, catalogue and private label greeting cards, Christmas crackers, stationary, and party supplies, has signed onto a new 10-year lease in Dandenong South.

DGA will commence the lease on the 28,062 sqm facility in January 2025.

The existing site, at 98-126 South Park Drive, will be significantly refurbished and upgraded to include 200kW of solar power.

Design Group Australia’s new warehouse location within South Park Industrial Estate is prime, offering immediate access to the Greens Road/Eastlink interchange, with quick access to key arterial roads, making this a strategic position to enhance our operations and service delivery to our customers.

Shane Timmerman, Design Group Australia CEO

TMX represented DGA in the procurement of the facility supporting DC operations design, property procurement, and project management of the upgrades to the facility. The property is owned by Frasers Property who initially developed South Park Estate.

"TMX is very pleased to have partnered with Design Group Australia to achieve their target outcomes and we look forward to seeing their new distribution centre reach operational go-live in early 2025,” TMX Transform Director of Property, Justin Fried, said.

The warehouse is one of the largest recent existing buildings offered in the southeastern industrial market. With low stock persisting in the Melbourne industrial market, the 10-year-lease duration will allow DGA to feel secure in the future of their service delivery and supply chain.

The site is located about 38km from Melbourne’s CBD.

Design Group Australia holds licenses to brands such as Toy Story, My Little Pony, Spider Man, Thomas &, and Star Wars.
