Shedding lights on the sustainability blind spots in supply chains, our Director, Freight and Logistics Jamie Dixon and Senior Consultant, Supply Chain Nick de Klerk raised the awareness of the role that supply chains have to play in ensuring a greener and more sustainable future at the recent NORA ~ National Online Retailers Association Sustainable Go event in Sydney.
Jamie and Nick believe organisations have responsibility for sustainability across all 3 scopes in the end to end value chains. These scopes include their owned and operated assets, with electricity purchased for their owned and operated assets. And more important, organisations are also responsible for emissions from their outsourced suppliers, including waste, recycling and reverse logistics from a full circularity perspective.
At the event Jamie and Nick went on to discuss solutions to ensure a greener and more sustainable supply chain, including solutions for freight, logistics and warehouses, and showcasing a real case study of a major UK retailer with their sustainable supply chain transformation.
Jamie and Nick’s discussion was included in the recently launched RSIN TV channel, powered by NORA. The channel gathered the industry’s leading innovators in sustainability, circulatory and ethics.
